This is a second Flashmeeting event for GEC members who might find this time more convenient.
Join us as we talk about various global projects and plan for the new year. If you are in need of project partners, need help with refining a project or just want to meet other globally minded educators, please consider attending!

Sorry I missed the meeting. I signed up using my home email - the email I was sent was my work email. I am on break so I hadn't checked my school email until just now - a little late for the flashmeeting. I should get the message on time for the next one. In the meantime, I am watching the replay of the meeting.

Yes, Lucy. Just send me the following details: brief description of the sessions, your bio and the urls relevant to the event, exact dates and time including the zone. You may wish to make it earlier for members from Europe and the Far East.
We were almost at capacity, Nellie, so I'm wondering if that is why. The limit is 25 people in Flashmeeting. There are 7 of us still in there right now, but the conversation is mostly over. I'm planning on scheduling another set of online meetings in February. If you have any ideas for topics, please let me know.
I hope I can find some people interested in uniting groups and movements struggling for free and emancipating public education, instead of commercialized education for the labour market.
There is a "Reclaim your Education - Global Week of Action 2009" coming up.
Time zones are confusing to me, too, but I'm getting the hang of it particularly after my trip to Singapore which forced me to think across time zones.
I've scheduled this for Friday night and Saturday morning my time which is GMT - 6. The GMT equivalent would be Saturday, January 3 2:00 AM and Saturday, January 3 4 PM.
