Global Education Collaborative Meeting #1 - 2009 - Events

Ring in the new year and attend an online meeting of the Global Education Collaborative. We will be using Flashmeeting, a very cool tool that allows for videoconferencing. Flashmeeting allows for one person at at a time to speak while others can text chat in a chatroom. The meeting will be recorded for those who can't make it. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate at whatever level you are comfortable. If you are leading projects, come discuss your work. If you have questions or need a project partner, share your ideas and other GEC members can chime into help. Please click on the following link and test Flashmeeting ahead of time so that we can get the meeting going as quickly as possible. If I've gotten my time zone information down correctly, this meeting will start on Friday night at 8 PM in my time zone, CST. People in North America, South America, Asia and Australia will probably find this time more convenient than those in Europe and Africa. A second meeting is scheduled after this to accommodate different time zone needs.

Will try to attend either the Friday or Saturday session. Depends on what the weekend plans turn out to be. Great way to start the new year Lucy!

FYI, if you click on the web site link, you'll see the actual Flashmeeting site and GMT for each meeting. The Friday meeting is starting at 8 PM CST which is about 2 AM GMT or London time. The Saturday meeting starts at 10 AM CST which is about 4 PM GMT.
