  • Hi Eleanor!
I am about to facilitate a workshop about global collaborations with teachers from our Diocese. I am going to suggest that people add you as a friend- maybe you can connect with someone for a project in the Fall?
  • Hey another Haines! (even if you spell yours the "funny" way! ;)

My sister from Oman. Ok, I am basically open to anything. What grades do you work with?
I am about to start 4 different projects with kids in grades 5, 7 and 8 (the 4th project being an extra-curricular music project for a handful of kids).

I'd like to find something for grade 6 (11 yr. olds).

I was thinking of joining a pre-packaged project using voicethread- a teacher who I just contacted started a voicethread poetry project: http://poetrycollaboration.wikispaces.com/

Have you used voicethread before? I think that would work well with the younger grades because it doesn't require any direct contact that might be too much for them to handle/ their parents to be comfortable with. Maybe we could do our own version of that project with some poems from Oman and some poems from America and have the kids read and comment on the other culture's poems?

Let me know what grades you work with and what sort of ideas you have- like I said I am open to anything and I always have about 6 or 7 ideas bouncing around my head like Tigger in a Winnie the Pooh book!
  • HI,
I'm a new member of this Ning. I'm hoping to make some first steps to finding teachers to do collaborative projects with. I'm open to anything. Thanks
