Hi Narayan
I thought I would share with you a global student project taking place right now as I thought you would be interested.
The #world11kids project is part of the UN's ITUWorld Conference taking place in Geneva, Switzerland in a few weeks time.
We are inviting 10,000 kids from around the world to design solutions to the toughest of world problems and put challenges to the world leaders who will gather at the conference.
We are looking for schools to get involved and thought you might be able to help.
You can find out more here http://world2011.us/
best wishes

I'm a teacher in Calgary, Alberta helping a group of grade 8 students at my school conduct a global survey on worldviews. I'm wondering if you might be willing to take this survey (less than 5 mins) and perhaps spread it around - particularly with your students. We're trying to get as many non-North American respondents as we can.
You can get to the survey by clicking here.
Thanks so much for your consideration!
I'm not planning to attend the Educational Project. I've actually never been out of the United States! One of the other teachers in my Science department at school spent a good part of her summer in India visiting her family. She brought me back souvenirs, and it seems like a beautiful country. Have you ever been to the United States before? What is an NGO? Do all students take information technology or is it for students who choose to participate? Do you have classes or do you run the technology for the school? What type of technology resources do you have?
Hope to hear from you soon!

I'm from Long Island, NY, which is right outside of New York City. I'm a science teacher for students in grades 7, 9, 10 and 11. I'm working on my Masters degree to become a technology specialist. I'm trying to make connections on a global level and find out what education is like in other places. What subject and ages do you teach?
Hope to hear from you soon!
