    The Center for Cultural Diplomacy Studies (of the ICD Academy for Cultural Diplomacy) (CCDS) has developed the Distance Learning department in order to offer and enable different programs to individuals who are interested in field of cultural diplomacy and related areas to have an opportunity to increase their knowledge and experience in this fascinating field. Each program includes four main courses, which are taught in our Masters and PhD programs. In addition, the program offers access to high profile guest lectures, reading material and professional networking opportunities to promote one’s own projects.

    Part of a free webinar series - Global Learning for Educators

    Learn how two campuses, Michigan State University and Kent State University, are internationalizing their teacher preparation programs. 
In order to prepare new teachers to add a global perspective to their classrooms in Ohio, Kent State University has partnered with Miami University, and the University of Akron to create and manage the two-year Global Learning Scholars fellows program and have co-developed Teacher Education Goes Global that supports the internationalization of coursework at the three universities. The College of Education at Michigan State has developed specialized teacher preparation program, the Global Educators Cohort Program (GECP), focused on incorporating global and international perspectives into teacher content and pedagogical practices.

    Marco Souza, a 17 year-old, is charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen goods over $5000 and breaching previous bail conditions. He has a previous conviction for dangerous driving and other outstanding charges. The crown is seeking a detention order on the basis of a reverse onus, but Marco has several people willing to act as his surety. This bail resource can be used for in-class instruction, as a homework exercise, or as the basis of a dramatized mock bail hearing activity. The package includes relevant law, explanation of the bail process, key information about young people and bail, discussion questions, fact sheets and guidelines for all necessary roles.

    The renowned PhotoVoice Auction is back this autumn, showcasing a unique collection of world class photography from photographic legends, contemporary masters and emerging talent. This year we celebrate our 10th auction, where 85 prints will be auctioned including photographs by Nadav Kander, Sarah Moon, Herb Ritts, Dorothy Bohm, Ian Berry, Carinthia West, Philip Jones Griffiths, Simon Roberts, Tim Flach and Chloe Dewe Mathews.

    A selection of prints to be auctioned will be exhibited from 1st November in the reception area at LBi, and open for public viewing, Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. Proceeds from the auction will go to support the work of PhotoVoice. For more information about our work view our projects.
